The Red Arrows are swapping their iconic Hawk display jets for a fleet of Vespa scooters to ride, in convoy, from Land’s End to John O’Groats in September.
The bikes will all be painted up in Red Arrows livery, and the ride is being done with the support of Vespa (Piaggio Group) Arai, Feridax, and the Get On campaign.
Moby went up to RAF Scampton, home of the Arrows, to take a look at the scoots and meet the team last Friday, and ended up having to wrestle his S 1000 RR away from Red 4 Flight Lieutenant Dave Davies, who was more than a little aroused by the German fighter.
The official launch of the ride will take place at the Farnborough Air Show in July, and we’ll bring you full details of the dates, route, and the charities being supported, at that time.
