MV Agusta’s New F3 Triple

Three cheers for Harley-Davidson for investing mega-bucks in MV Agusta, allowing them to develop its new F3 inline triple sportsbike – then chucking the towel in before it could even reap its rewards. New (and old) owner Claudio Castiglioni, surely can’t believe his luck.

MV remains tight-lipped on the bike, aside from releasing this crap picture, but it’ll be a 675cc machine, aping Triumph’s Daytona, and will be available stock, and as a sportier option. Interviews with Castiglioni suggest that MV will want €9,000 for the base model and pricing doesn’t get more competitive than this – if only that was legally binding. There will also be a naked version, dubbed the Brutalina, to take on Triumph’s Street Triple.

2011 will also see a cut-down Brutale, although details on how cut-down, and how affordable, it will be, remain to be seen.
