Some tasty new models and revamped old ones are due to roll out of KTM’s Mattighofen factory next year, all of them getting our thumbs up. While the track-only RC8 gets out juices flowing, and the SM T gets ABS, it’s the new 125 Duke that is the most important bike of the lot, not just for KTM but for the market, too.
Aside from the tasty Aprilia RS125 and lush Cagiva SP525, decent 125s are conspicuous by their absence. Well not anymore. With super-sharp styling and attitude aplenty, if da kidz don’t fancy a slice of this action then there really is no hope.
Performance is obviously hampered by capacity and regulations, but what self respecting 17-year-old wouldn’t want to hoon about on one of these?
Track-ready version of the RC8 is on the way…
