Ducati has unveiled the Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak Special Edition in celebration of Greg Tracy’s victory in the 2010 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb race in Colorado – and we think it looks mint, too.
The Pikes Peak Special Edition gets a Ducati Corse-style paint scheme with passenger foot-peg hangers and engine guard anodised black, and red pin-striping on the wheels. There’s also a very tasty Ducati Performance (Termignoni) carbon fibre end can; a low screen in carbon fibre; a carbon fibre front mudguard, and custom made seat detailed with red stitching.
The Pikes Peak race climbs a mountain track through 1,438 metres of altitude change, and a real mix of terrains – which just goes to demonstrate the versatility of the Multistrada. Greg Tracy will use one again in 2011, along with team-mate Alexander Smith.
The Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak Special Edition will be available from May 2011 onwards at an SRP of £16,750. For further information visit Ducati UK.
