Rejoice – 2013 will see a new Aprilia RSV4. The current holder of the Fast Bikes SBOTY crown is an absolute peach, and minor revisions are hoped to let the Aprilia take on the advances made by BMW and its new HP4.
True, changes are slight, but given the starting point of the Aprilia, we couldn’t hope for much more. Presented by Max Biaggi at the Cologne Intermot show, the 2013 RSV4 gets a revised APRC electronics package, a sport ABS system (that can be disengaged) and an increase in power, so that the V4 motor pumps out an incredible 184bhp of power and 117Nm of torque.
The bike also gets a new fuel tank to aid ergonomics and some slight graphic changes. They’re small little changes, but knowing what difference a tank makes can have a dramatic effect on comfort and ergonomics.
