Get yourself off to the shops now to get the February issue of Fast Bikes!
It’s an issue with the big launches in. Triumph kicks everything off with some substantial changes to the hugely successful Daytona 675. There wasn’t much wrong with it in the first place, so let’s hope the best just gets a little better. Then Kawasaki bigs up the Z750 to turn it into the Z800. We can usually see through a snazzy restyle, so Kawasaki need more than smoke and mirrors to make this Zed rock. Maybe it will… And last up is the MV Brutale 800, the latest in a long line of new Italian metal. Both bikes pitch themselves up against the Triumph Street Triple, but with they offer any opposition?
Our big test take some of the best bikes on sales today – including the new Kawasaki ZX-6R – and pitches them against yesteryear’s models to see exactly how far they’ve come. So the Ducati 848 Evo meets the venerable 916, the v-four Aprilia RSV4 is up against the v-twin RSV R, and a Suzuki GSX-R1000 meets the ancestral GSX-R1100. We’ve come a long way, baby!
The riding doesn’t stop there, as Al gets a shot on a Harris Moto2 bike round Donington Park. Al’s ridden a lot of bikes in his time, so to call this the ‘best bike I’ve ever ridden’ is some accolade. Elsewhere, Beaky lets us in on his story about his first ever club race, and we look over where to book this year’s biking holidays. For 2013 we list 20 great destinations and 13 brilliant races to visit.
As you can see from the contents below (click it for a bigger version), it’s another ram-jammed issue, full of everything you want – and nothing you don’t. Packed to the rafters with bikes, bits and the occasional lady, it’s a feast for the eyes! There’s all the regular pages too, so that means great product reviews, stacks of news, tests galore, Addiction, riding, legal and bike materclasses, a racing round-up, longtermers, and the list simply goes on and on… Get to your newsagents NOW
