Husqvarna’s Future

We now know what is in store for Husqvarna after former owners BMW sold the company to the boss of KTM, Stefan Pierer. The press release talks about Husqvarna being reborn in 2013, and this involves the company being integrated with Husaberg, another Pierer-owned company.

The two companies were effectively the same 25 years ago, and going forward Husqvarna will concentrate on its offroad market based out of Mattighofen, Austria. New bikes will be presented in October, but don’t expect anything along the lines of the impressive Nuda or Strada. Enduro, Motocross and Sportminicycles segments will all see new bikes – as well as Supermoto.
