It’s the Italian GP at Mugello this weekend, and thanks to our buddies at Brembo, we’ve got some exclusive (and very interesting) data for your perusal.
Boasting the longest straight on the MotoGP calendar, Mugello’s first turn provides a hefty braking zone – hitting the brakes at 220mph and scrubbing off speed to 75mph at the apex. The rest of the flowing Tuscan circuit isn’t very demanding on the anchors but riders still get punished with high braking forces, and spend 19% of their lap time squeezing the lever with just six real braking zones.
