BMW S1000RR Carbon Rutter Rep

You may remember Glyn Adams’ stunning BMW S Thou’ from a few issues ago. The full-carbon Beemer graced our Addiction centre pages along with Emma, featuring an Austin Racing exhaust and several other trick components.

Well, Glyn sent us some fresh pics this weekend: he’s wrapped the RR, opting for Micheal Rutter’s 2014 Bathams livery. Looks sweet, eh?

Glyn: “I rode a 125 until I was 27, then got a 1996 GSX-R600 before buying a 2005 R1 – until it got nicked. Next, I bought a 2007 GSX-R1000 and that’s where the modding bug began. I stuck carbon wheels on it – and flipped it not long after because I wasn’t used to the front coming up so quickly! That didn’t stop the police wanting to prosecute me after they’d seen it on the internet.

“In 2012 I was watching WSB at Silverstone and decided that I needed a BMW S 1000 RR. I bought one off a massive Russian bloke in London and rode it home, loving the sound of the bang each time the quickshifter was engaged! It had a few bits on it, along with 2,000 miles, but I stripped them all off and started again. That’s when the carbon bug bit again – this time with the best quality carbon money can buy.

“Ilmberger supply BMW themselves with their HP products, so you know it’s good. Each panel has been replaced – as has the motor after a valve clip fell off cylinder four blowing the thing up in an instant…”
