It’s fair to say that the British Grand Prix was pretty special. Okay it wasn’t quite a fairytale for the Brits in Moto2 and Moto3, but we were hugely impressed with the lads in MotoGP.
Firstly, a massive hats off to Cal Crutchlow. What an incredible ride, and he is absolutely buzzing full of confidence at the moment which is great to see. Surely if he can carry on with this form there’s absolutely no denying that he should be considered for a seat at Repsol in two years time.
But Alex Lowes? That was pretty special. With just 15 laps on the YZR-M1 before riding it in anger in first practice, he was really thrown in at the deep end. Yet to finish up 13th and just 20 seconds behind Lorenzo is incredible… He didn’t even do a race simulation before the real thing!
