Sky and NOW TV customers on the verge of losing Eurosport

by

As if January wasn’t sh*t enough anyways, we’ve been thrown another massive curve ball due to an ongoing squabble between Sky and Discovery – a disaster for both British and World Superbikes.

This means that if you have Sky or Now TV, you could be losing twelve channels: Discovery HD, Discovery History, Discovery Home & Health, Discovery Science, Discovery Shed, Discovery Turbo, DMAX (which sounds a little bit creepy), Investigation Discovery, Quest, TLC, Animal Planet, but most importantly Eurosport 1 &2; a move that would be detrimental to the ratings of both British and World Superbikes.

A spokesmen from Sky has said that ‘Despite our best efforts to reach a sensible agreement, we, like many other platforms and broadcasters across Europe, have found the price expectations for the Discovery portfolio to be completely unrealistic.’

So from the February 1st, as it stands now, we are doomed. There is a hashtag running under #keepdiscovery – but only time will tell if it’s succesful.
