New 2018 Triumph Speed Triple RS – Gallery!

by

Yep, a wee sucker punch from Triumph, keeping this one close to their chests until now – an updated Triumph Speed Triple S and brand spanking new RS! Well, sort of…

While the engine isn’t brand new (we’re still waiting, Triumph…), apparently they’ve changed 105 parts within it, some of which has aided the 3kg reduction on the RS. The engine now makes a claimed 150bhp (7% up) and 117Nm of torque (4% up), while the electronics suite (including rider modes, traction-control, ABS etc) has been upgraded too.

The RS also now comes with one of those keyless ignition systems, which we hate, but many seem to like. The steering-lock is likewise activated in the same fashion.

It has a new TFT dash, likely the same as the 765 RS item, with different themes to choose from, and from where you adjust the rider modes and so on.

Riding modes are – Sport, Road and Rain, plus a fourth which one can customise to your liking. The RS also has ‘Track’ mode too in its repertoire.

The RS is fitted with adjustable Brembo levers now, too, to match the whopping M50 calipers.

Specs:

Price on both is still TBC, check Triumph Motorcycles for more info on the S version, and the RS too!
