With the timely reveal of the one-make bikes to be raced at MotoGP in the new MotoE class, in our latest issue (337, March ’18) we take the Energica Evo to Brands Hatch, to see what’s what…
Fight it as we might, this kind of thing is the future, and while it’s a mild bummer the GP series will be one-make (for the moment), it should bring these kinds machines forwards in leaps and bounds with races due to be 10-laps to begin with, being extended bit by bit until they can do full race distance.
Right now the Energica Ego is the electric machine that’s available to all, one which has some sporting ambition. Yes there are others, but many are still in development and some are are eye-watering in asking price.
The Energica isn’t cheap either at a couple of grand shy of £30k, but is it relevant yet? And is it any good on track? Find out in the latest issue!
