Moto Morini is adding an extra touch of class to its value packed X-Cape 650 adventure bike with a limited run ‘Gold Wheel Edition’ which will retail at £7,799 (plus on the road charges) when it goes on sale later this month.

The X-Cape has proved hugely popular across Europe since its introduction at the start of the year, combining genuine ‘go anywhere’ adventure bike capabilities, Italian flair and high quality components with a price tag which belies its quality and performance.

Only 30 of the special edition Gold Wheel Edition, which celebrates the 85th anniversary of the Moto Morini brand, will go on sale in the UK.

The gold coloured spoked wheels (19” front and 17” rear) are shod with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres and complement the contemporary ‘Red Passion’ livery of the versatile adventure tourer. They top off a packed spec sheet which includes Brembo brakes, fully-adjustable Marzocchi suspension and a Bosch ABS system which can be disengaged for off-road riding.

Other premium features includes an easily adjustable windscreen and a giant 7” TFT dashboard with an integrated Bluetooth system and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Mechanically the Moto Morini X-Cape 650 Gold Wheel Edition is unchanged from the base model, being powered by the well-proven 60bhp parallel-twin unit which will also appear in the upcoming Seiemmezzo ‘6½’ roadsters.

Just 30 examples of the Moto Morini X-Cape 650 Gold Wheel Editions will be available in the UK, priced at £7,799 (plus on the road charges). Potential customers looking to try out an X-Cape 650 should contact one of the 26 authorised dealerships across the UK and Ireland, who each have a standard model (either with alloy or spoked wheels) available as demonstrator.
