This week, we rode out and met the representatives of German retailing giant Louis Moto. If you’ve not heard of them, here is a potted history: Eighty-five years ago, Detlev Louis took a small motorcycle repair workshop and, over the decades, shaped it into Europe’s largest company for motorcycle clothing and accessories. They’ve got a huge portfolio of gear and accessories from a plethora of different companies. Take a look, here.
One of the brands Louis has is Rothewald Tools and a kit of theirs caught our eye – the mini-ratchet set. It’s ideally sized to fit under your seat, your tank bag or rucksack and we think it’s jolly useful, and very good quality, too. The case is robust and everything inside is properly and tightly tucked away. There is nothing worse than opening a set, and everything leaps out at you! Here’s what’s inside:
- 1 reversing bit ratchet (52 teeth) with thumb-wheel for positioning and rapid turning with your thumb on the ratchet head
- 1 1/4″ adapter
- 1 magnetic bit holder 60 mm
- 6 hex sockets 1/4″: 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 13 mm
- 4 hexagon socket bits 1/4″: 3, 4, 5 and 6 mm
- 6 Torx bits 1/4″: T10, T15, T20, T25, T30 and T40
- 3 Philips bits 1/4″: PH1, PH2 and PH3
- 3 Pozidriv bits 1/4″: PZ1, PZ2 and PZ3
- 1 slot bit 5.5 mm
