Dainese Misano 3 D-AIR race suit
If the £4k Dainese Mugello suit featured last month is a bit rich for you, here’s the next best option from the Vicenza firm: the Misano 3 D-Air. Like the Mugello, it features the latest D-air RACING SHIELD 3X airbag that gives up to three consecutive activations and integrates with the Riding Mode by Dainese app for the ideal airbag set up. The suit is packed with comfort stretch panels, soft inserts and extensive air vents for hot trackdays, and is made from cowhide rather than the kangaroo used in the Mugello suit. The metal slider plates on the shoulders, knees and elbows are aluminium rather than titanium, but the rest of the suit spec is very similar to the Mugello, including the new knee and elbow slider set up, full CE armour/airbag protection, in/out boot fittings, and hydration pack facility. The Misano is also available in women’s sizes for the same price.

Squire Defiant disc lock
British lock legend Squire has a new supply deal with top distribution veteran Feridax, so expect to see its bike kit available much more widely from now on. We love the brutal design of this Defiant disc lock. It’s a massive rectangular chunk of inch-thick grinder-resistant steel with anti-pick dimple-key lock and a 12mm boron steel shackle. It’s Sold Secure Diamond approved and generally optimised to thwart thieves. Not cheap, but then neither is your insurance excess.
